At Sítio Carol, the actions of the "Rural Community Reference Zero Waste" project are taking place

Recycling activities are concentrated in Carol. They are carried out in collaboration with the local community association (APRUMUS), ACOMAREM (Ass. Coletores de Material Reciclável de Morretes) and Aviário Inovação. The owners voluntarily assist community residents who hand in their recyclable material. This material has a value and each person receives the same amount that ACOMAREM pays if it were delivered to the association. As well as solid recyclable material, they also receive used cooking oil, which is then used to make ecological soap. The glass delivered to the recycling house is transformed into household utensils or art objects - this is part of the Fundição Guará - Morretes/Paranaguá project.
